The Saatchi Gallery has always a place that offers a mixture of the best contemporary art in London today not to mention it being one of my favourite galleries.
Currently exhibiting is the Sunday Times 50th Anniversary which marks a glorious moment for the company. It presents the work of world-famous photographers who have helped contribute to the magazine since it's launch in 1962. The exhibition offers a variety of images ranging from global issues to rising stars which draws a bridge over generations and brings the public together. It provides the opportunity for those to reflect on the events that were present during their era as well as educating the younger generation to histories of not only our nation but the rest of the world.
What I enjoyed about the exhibition was that there much of the coverage I was unaware of, It was stimulating to learn the history of the newspaper and more importantly what went on prior to myself. Each image had its own individual dialogue that was unique, they were signs of all the topics that existed. Fashion, politics, art and culture ect in which one way or another affected the public.
